PIRATES TAKE A BEATING AT ABAC - Tifton, GA

The Pirates couldn't get any offense going and surrendered 3 home runs in a 10-0 drumming on Tuesday. Tristan Farrell(L 0-1) took the loss for the Pirates as he gave up 3 earned runs including two homers. Farrell didn't pitch poorly, but was unable to get any run support from a Pirate offense that was stymied all day by Stallions right hander Frank Franklin. Marc Nellist and Brannon Humphries both made their debuts in the game, and Chris Ferguson made his first appearance since being injured a year ago.

Offensively, the Pirates had little to show picking up just 5 hits on the day by Stephen Pittard, David Buchanan, Ben Lillis, Drew Freeman, and Kyle Maley. The loss puts the Pirates at 2-2 heading into a tough weekend schedule that includes opponents Darton, Gadsden State, and a rematch with ABAC on Sunday..
