2010 PIRATE BASEBALL TRYOUT: May 20, 3PM EST


Tryouts will be held for the 2010-2011 CVCC Pirate baseball field on Thursday, May 20 at Howard Lake Field on the campus of Chattahoochee Valley Community College. Interested players should arrive no later than 2:30PM, as the workout will begin promptly at 3:00PM Eastern Standard Time. All players are expected to bring their own equipment and be outfitted properly in baseball pants, cap, and cleats. Catchers must have their own gear as the Pirate Staff will not be providing any for this workout.

Players should be ready to run the 60 yard dash, throw from their position, throw a bullpen, hit batting practice, and possibly play ina scrimmage game.

Please note that this is the last tryout date we will be having for next fall's club, and there will be no additional workouts past this date.

Interested prospects should bring the following:

Baseball Pants
Baseball Cap
Spikes
Turf Shoes or Tennis Shoes (We do not allow spikes or cleats in our cage or BP area)
Glove and Catcher's Gear(If applicable)

Also bring an information sheet with the following information:

Your telephone number and mailing address
Your HS coach's name and telephone number (We do not want your summer coach's info, HS coach's only)
Your estimated GPA and SAT/ACT scores
Your HS stats for the 2009 season (We do not want your summer ball stats, HS numbers only.)
